I as the wife of Joe Park.. keke..wanted to do something fun with him so I got "2 tickets for the BEST SEATS for the blue man group" as his birthday gift.(oh.. for those of you who don't know, his birthday is this coming thu!!!)
Since joe had to go to hospital this morning, we had lunch at home and then went to chicago downtown.
It looked like a pretty small theater, but there were more than 400 ppl who came to watch "the blue man group"
I knew that we were sitting in the left section the fourth row, but that caused a BIG surprise!!
As soon as we got in, we saw all the plastic ponchos laying on each chair of the first four rows.
We were thinking, "are they going to spray us or something??" so we sat there waiting for the show to start. then a staff worker came up to us and said "CONGRATULATIONS, YOU TWO ARE SITTING IN OUR AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION SEATS!!!" our jaws dropped.. (i am not kidding!!) "what are we supposed to do?" we asked..basically he told us he would take us to the back of the auditorium and we would sit there until the house manager came to get us. Then we would be guided to our seats in the front as if we came LATE!.. they said we were part of a GAG where they make FUN of LATE COMERS. so we agreed even though we had no clue what would exactly happen.. (you guys... you know that i love doing something silly!!)

The show began while we were sitting in the back, waiting for the manager..while we were waiting, we got to talk to some of the staff who were working there, but they would not tell us anything about the show.. (eh hem~~)
joe and i kept looking at each other.. wondering what we got ourselves into.. "NICE CHOICE OF SEATS!!" joe said to me.. hehe..
well, the show started and it was really COOL.. and CREATIVE!! about 15 min into the show, a girl with a flash light came.. grabbed us from the back and took us to the other side of theater.. she explained that as soon as she turned on the flash light, the CAMERA and SPOT LIGHT would be POINTED AT US!!! and we were to just follow her to our seats.. I was so happy that everyone was looking at US as we walked down the aisle to the front.. EVEN BLUE MEN WERE LOOKING AT US! and Lipsyncing to a song about us being late...so funny!!! We were on the BIG SCREEN UP ON STAGE!!! and everyone was laughing as joe and I pretended to be late and we waved at everybody!! (Since we have done this before at our wedding reception, it wasn't difficult at all.. ^^)
even if we sat down our seats, those blue men kept staring at us.. SO SCARY!!

the show was so COOL.. we LOVED it so much.. it was not boring at all.. the music/instruments were so cool and very creative.. at the last, they turned on all the strobe lights and i felt like i was at a club or something.. LOVED IT SO MUCH!!

yup.. that's how our day went.. it was so much fun.. i even thank myself that i got those seats! hehe..

oh.. this past fri, we invited joe's old church ppl to come over to have dinner.. it was like a little joe/keevan's birthday party & late open house. it was fun.. i had to cook again.. but i guess i am used to cooking for many ppl now. hehe..
And Sat, we went to harvest bible chapel for open house. That's for the ppl who are new at their church. Since I am a music teacher there, I wanted to go there and meet more ppl with joe. Gosh..Harvest is one of the BIGGEST church I ever been to... After we got to talk to their head pastor, James McDonald, we realized how that church is blessed... their worship ministry is AWESOME too.... by the way, their CD came out recently, and that reminds me a hillsong church.. hehe..
