Alright.. now i have some time to write about my life these days in Korea.
Those of you who prayed for me to have a safe trip, thank you all! Yes, I had a safe trip to Korea even if i had to sit next to a BIG white ah jum ma. Whenever I wanted to change the radio chnnel on the arm rest, i had to ask her to move her arm away from it. I felt so bad... so later on, I had to keep listening to Korean pop music.. hehe.. but it was fun!!
She was on the way to Korea to teach English. She seems just normal (not too special, not too weird) woman, reading articles about languages.(in my opinion, reading something is the best way to spend your time on a plane)
Anyways, I took Korean Air from Chicago to Incheon airport for a 14 hour trip. Dang.. now they play three movies on the plane. I watched little something 2, one unknown american movie(do not remember what it is.. felt asleep), and one korean movie, called "addicted".
Personally I prefer aisle seats because i don't have to wake up ppl to go to bathroom and feel sorry. Oh.. KAL changed the planes.. now they have two seats on each sides, and five seats in the middle.Taking KAL is not too bad to Korea since they serve you bibimbap, but i realized the price of KAL is the most expensive flight to Korea.
I had a "talk" with a white woman who was sitting next to me. She was a mild, gentle woman, and very SMART! I could tell that she majored in English literature by the way she spoke English. SHE SAID, These days, teaching English in Korea is one of the easiest jobs for those of you who can speak English. My friend, Nobin's sister graduated college from Canada and came to Korea to teach English for a year. I could not believe that she got paid around $2500 per month. According to my ah jum ma cousins, learning, speaking English is one of the requirements in Korea now for every generation.
every 6pm in Korea, there are demonstrations against the US army. Oh well, they just do it around the US embassy, so i don't really know what they are doing or more details... but all i can say is, It seems so weird to me that all nations are eager to learn English, but do demonstrations for US army to leave Korea.
to be continued....
