OH MY GOODNESS!
I just came back from Lawrence where I work on Friday.
On the way back from work to home, i saw a car accident while I was waiting at the intersection of Lawrence and I-94.
I was approaching the intersection when the light turned yellow. I was thinking "should i go? or should i stop??"
After a split second, I thought "I will just stop~~". Then as the light turned red, a large SUV was finishing the left turn when an oncoming mini van blew the red and hit the corner of the SUV. I heard the crash and immediately looked left. The mini van did not stop until it hit a lamp post... I could see the front passengers of the mini van hit the windshield and shatter it just like i have seen video clips of dummies in crash tests. I even saw the rear passenger hit the windshield too... i guess he was not wearing a seat belt.
I was so SHOCKED! I just could not believe what I just saw! (acutally, i think it was the first car accident i ever seen that close! )
My heart was racing.. oh my gosh.. it still does!
All i kept saying was, "thank you God!!" I almost could have been hit!
When I was taking driver ed class in high school, i used to think the yello light meant "GO! BEFORE IT TURNS RED!!!" because that's what i saw people do... I am so glad that i did not do it today!
