For my buddies out there who drive Honda Civics (there's a good number of you), I highly recommend getting a drop-in filter. It's an aftermarket air filter designed for higher air flow without the hassle of physically modifying your car with a new intake....just pull out the old air filter and drop in the new one. I bought a K&N filter for $45...pulled out my old air filter which had 40,000+ miles on it, and it was pretty dirty. Dropped in the new K&N which is guaranteed to last the life of the vehicle and can be cleaned and recharged every 50,000 miles with a $10 kit. So in the long run, I'll save money on not having to buy a new air filter every so often.

There definitely is a difference...I can almost feel the engine breathing more freely. The car is more willing to rev quickly than before...actually, I'd say the engine almost feels the way it did when I first bought the car brand new...less hesitation. I love it!

I'm sure the same is true for any car with an aftermarket filter... anyways, just wanted to share. I'm happy with the result! Hopefully, the benefits will still last over time as the filter gets dirty...we'll see.
